November 20, 2023 -- Ottawa -- On this National Child Day, Canadians are reminded of the imperative to uphold the rights and well-being of every child living in this country, which includes a right to timely access to essential healthcare services. 
 
At Children's Healthcare Canada and the Pediatric Chairs of Canada, we reaffirm our commitment to advocating for 'right-sized' healthcare systems that ensure measurably improved health outcomes for all children and youth. 

Every child deserves access to healthcare systems purpose built for kids and their unique needs to foster optimal growth and development. On this important day, we recognize the significance of prioritizing accessible, high-quality healthcare that empowers children to thrive.  

Our mission remains clear: to ensure that every child receives the care they need, when they need it, in a way that is tailored to their unique requirements.
