POSITION SUMMARY
Prenatal Screening Ontario (PSO) is funded by the Government of Ontario to coordinate and oversee the operations of prenatal screening services across the province, supporting a cohesive and high-quality screening system. PSO is a program of the province’s maternal, newborn and child registry, the Better Outcomes Registry and Network (BORN) Ontario.
The Clinical Content Specialist (CCS) in Engagement develops and leads the implementation of PSO’s engagement strategy. This role is new to BORN and will be critical for PSO to better understand the prenatal screening experience and identify and address barriers and enablers to care. Working collaboratively across the PSO team, the CCS in Engagement will develop a multi-year engagement workplan to capture and embed their needs and experiences. The Clinical Content Specialist in Engagement is responsible for maintaining communication and engagement with a variety of end users and ensuring that all parties are working together, using sophisticated facilitation skills to generate buy-in and active participation while resolving conflicts where necessary.

- Support the identification, recruitment, and retention of PWLE participants in PSO advisory groups, committees, and strategic initiatives.
- Advise PSO leadership on engagement strategies, equity-informed practices, and integration of lived experience into decision-making.
- Support the engagement of PWLE and health-care providers in research activities.
- Using BORN’s internal systems, implement a process to document, evaluate, and report on engagement activities.
- Collect and use a variety of data and feedback to inform continuous improvement of PSO’s engagement supports and services.
- Together with BORN/PSO colleagues, cultivate partnerships with organizations and partners across the prenatal care continuum to advance engagement goals.
